What it actually takes to run a meet
Most spectators see the platform. What they do not see are the hours before: equipment being calibrated, athlete registrations being verified, flights being organized, and fifteen people coordinating to make six hours feel seamless. VNPL staff are the engine behind every competition.
A successful powerlifting meet is a precision operation. Athletes step on the platform — and behind them, a team of dedicated people ensures every minute runs exactly as planned.
Staff positions
Spotter & loader
The most physically demanding role in any meet. Spotters and loaders ensure athlete safety during every attempt, manage barbell loading with total accuracy, and respond instantly to failed lifts. They are the most visible members of the crew — and among the most trusted.

Scorekeeper
Records all results in real time and maintains the official scoreboard throughout every flight.
Announcer (MC)
Keeps the meet flowing — announcing attempts, maintaining energy, and guiding the audience through each flight.
Technical crew
Manages livestream, sound system, lighting, and all technical equipment supporting the competition.
Registration desk
Handles athlete check-in, weigh-in coordination, equipment checks, and documentation verification.
